In this paper I will also be comparing and contrasting two different religions. These Religions are Christianity and Judaism. In doing so I will be taking a look at the respective religions historical figures and events, their central beliefs.

This is a World Religions project and for this project, I chose the Religion of Judaism. In this paper, I will be outlining the historic development of Judaism. I will also be reviewing my visit to Shalom Park, which is the center of Charlotte North Carolinas Jewish community. Shalom Park is home to the Temple Beth El, which is considered to be a mainstream reform synagogue, Temple Israel, which is considered to be a conservative Jewish congregation as well as Charlotte, North Carolinas oldest synagogue. The Carolina agency for Jewish education and a Jewish community center are in Shalom Park as well. I have interviewed Susan Jacobs from the Temple Beth El in Charlotte and have included a summary of that interview. In this paper I will also be comparing and contrasting two different religions. These Religions are Christianity and Judaism. In doing so I will be taking a look at the respective religions historical figures and events, their central beliefs, their sacred texts, their rituals and practices as well as their ethics and beliefs.
