The thesis statement should contain: 1) the game naught and crosses (tic-tac-toe) 2) the era of game play which you’re covering (doesn’t have to be the original era), 3) what you are trying to demonstrate in the paper (for example, that a game was designed to inculcate values, relieve frustration, encourage aspiration, spread propaganda, etc.), and 4) specifically how the game related to or influenced the culture of the era about which you are writing.
